Henrietta Hexagon & the Triangles – Coming SOON!

Standard

I haven’t had any recent blog posts due to the fact that I have been working non-stop on finishing my next children’s picture book entitled, Henrietta Hexagon and the Triangles. I am so excited about the shape series I have planned for the children.

Henrietta’s story is different from the Mortimer series in many ways, one being that it doesn’t rhyme, but I believe you will really love the story and fall in love with sweet little Henrietta. This is a sweet story of adoption with a subtle math lesson. The kids won’t even realize they have learned something about math. As an infant, Henrietta is left alone in a shape sorter with no one to care for her.  Luckily, she was found and adopted by a family of Triangles, Ma and Pah along with her brothers and sister: Tate, Tyler, Tanner and Tanya. She loves her family more than anything but she always has the feeling that she doesn’t quite fit it. One warm spring morning, Henrietta decides to venture outside in search of other Hexagons. She manages to find one hexagon during the process but she gets herself into a sticky situation. Henrietta walks back home feeling defeated and down but when she arrives, everything changes. You will have to read more to find out what happens! :o) Here is a sneak peak preview page of the story. . . ENJOY!

  1. Your new character looks really cute, Mandi. Shapes is probably one of the most fun things about math; I’m sure the kids will enjoy learning what Henrietta has to subtly teach them.
Here’s wishing you great success with the new series.
